

Mercedes-Benz is an integral part of the Daimler Group founded 130 years ago. Producer of premium cars, commercial and industrial vehicles, Daimler employs 284,000 people around the world and produced 2.9 million vehicles in 2015. Group income was 149.5 billion Euros in 2015. The Group’s commercial vehicles division is the world leaders with its Mercedes-Benz, Fuso, Freightliner and Western Star brands, achieving sales of 37.6 billion Euros (up 1% over 2014) and with total production of 502,500 vehicles (up 1% over 2014). The Mercedes-Benz brand assembles trucks for Europe and South America with plants in Germany (at Wörth, near Karlsruhe employing 13,000 people, 30% of whom are French), in Turkey (the Aksaray plant employing 1,900 people) and in South America (in Brazil, employing 11,000 people). The Group also has partnerships in China with local manufacturer Foton and in Russia with Kamaz. In France, Mercedes-Benz has a truck transformation plant employing 570 people in Molsheim, Eastern France. Our French distribution network has 156 sales and service points across the country.
A wide product portfolio is offered with the conventional Atego, Antos, Arocs and Actros ranges as well as the specialist Unimog, Zetros and Econic ranges. In addition, the Fuso Canter range assembled in Portugal is offered, with a number of models including a hybrid version.
